we hosted the third installment of the IIF series of discussions focused on China. The discussion centered on the future of EU-China relations. Is Europe the next battlefield in the tech and 5G wars? How far can the Belt & Road Initiative reach into Europe? What role will London play as the center of offshore RMB? Has Beijing gone too far with its European corona-diplomacy ? What are European businesses and investors strategies in China? These and other questions were tackled by Gene Ma, IIF Head of China Research, who moderated the event, and featured: Dr. Cui Hongjian, Director, Department of European Studies at China Institute of International Studies; Dr. Alicia Garc a Herrero, Chief Economist, Asia Pacific at Natixis; and Ms. Esther Law, Senior Investment Manager, Emerging Markets at Amundi Asset Management. The session concluded with Q&A from the audience.
